We had two nights of frost last week, so most of my blooms are now shades of brown:)

Oh, how I love that gorgeous crape myrtle!

I've been collecting photos for my fall color project post, too; I'd better Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01384059342847120951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7113123529932691813.post-6385229968867735472011-10-25T11:13:27.368-05:002011-10-25T11:13:27.368-05:00I've just spent considerable time in your beau...I've just spent considerable time in your beautiful yard via this post. I did not know there was a Fall blooming Crape Myrtle.

Last week we had two nights of temperatures low enough to put a skim of ice on the birdbaths! I just bought 30 pansies to bring much needed Fall color to my garden in Northern Mississippi. I love pansies - great winter blooms - even 8 inches of snow did not kill them last winter. If it ever has any babies you don't want let me know. I wish sugar maples could grow better down here. They like it cooler than it usually is but they would give a nice burst of orange-gold color.Dave@TheHomeGardenhttp://www.fallcolor.growingthehomegarden.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7113123529932691813.post-16882497951067306932011-10-25T04:40:56.433-05:002011-10-25T04:40:56.433-05:00I miss fall colours! I love southeastern foliage anyway being from that area myself, even though for me right now fall color is pretty much non-existent in my new environs! Glad you loved the cactus wrens! They are just as sweet as the carolina wren that's for sure. Come by my blog anytime.
