  5. I have been seeing robin egg shells here and there. That means we have babies! I love robin because they build there nest just about anywhere and they are the first to explore a newly cultivated bed.

  10. The pics are so beautiful! I love the color of robin's egg... I would paint my whole house that color if I didn't think it would disturb the neighbors! LOL

  11. So exciting to be able to view nature up close! It was just the perfect place for momma robin to lay her eggs...and they are so blue, just beautiful!! Keep watching so we can see her sitting on the eggs, and then, when the babies are born! I had robins in my crepe myrtle last year, and watched the babies up there, and saw them leave the nest. I just love spring...Happy Birthday to your younger sister!!

  20. Are those real? They're amazing. I didn't expect to be a big bird fanatic, but gardening really opened my eyes to a whole new world. Although now that it seems a hummingbird is nesting somewhere in my yard, it keeps chasing all the other birds away, which always makes me laugh. It reminds me of my tiny little terrier who is always barking at big dogs. I ramble. Have a great weekend!

  25. They really do build their nests in the most random places. lol They keep making nests in my wall planters on the shed each spring. :) It makes watering a interesting task to say the least. Have a nice weekend...in the garden! Happy Birthday to your sis!

  29. I should have lots of robin's eggs in my garden soon, too, judging by the number of them gathering nesting materials in my lawn.

    Happy Birthday to youngest sis!

I enjoyed your comment,Tina, on my last post, by the way. I've had lots of offers to help--Lisa even suggested I needed to travel to see everyone's gardens. Now wouldn't that be a fun study!

  30. Tina, When I made wreaths for the craft store, I would put in artificial nests at times! They would sell must quicker then a wreath without a nest! A real nest in your wreath is a wonderful treat! What a beautiful color those Robin Blue eggs!

  31. Wow, Tina! Could there possibly be a more incredibly blue egg than that? I don't think so. So very beautiful, nature's little gifts to us.

  32. Those robin eggs in the nest do capture spring. I adore that photo and also enjoyed your tulip ones below.

Ours should be coming up soon. The daffs are out and it was so warm today my son went swimming (briefly) with Stella today. In April at Popham! Can you believe it?

Happy Birthday to your sister too.

  33. Thank you for the birthday wishes. It was a great birthday with the girls making a cake and dinner and dishes and cards for me.

It's just another day to me once 40 came a year ago. Anyway, I hope all is well - it seems it with your site. Take care,

    Love, youngest sister, Terri-Lynn
