  1. Nice! Are you volunteering at the sale? Do members donate plants, or start them for the sale? Have fun!

  4. Good morning all!

Monica, I will not be at the sale this time due to a prior commitment to a friend (I promised I'd ride to the airport with her very early in the morning). Many members do start plants specifically for the plant sale. I did both-propagated a beautiful climbing rose and dug tons of plants from my garden including: beautyberries, great blue lobelia, seedling red hots, and some houseplants. We do these sales twice a year and it is a big fundraiser. Some of that money was just spent on our trip to Huntsville.

  6. Wish I was there. Our big sale is at the State Fairgrounds in the spring. Fall usually bring the best bargains though... :)

  7. I would love to come - but I fear the cost of travel would cancel out any savings from the plant bargains!

  8. Our Master Gardener plant sales are never as popular as our Garden Club sales, and it has to do with location, location, location. Your plant sale sounds similar to our Garden Club sale by getting there early. Here they only open for three hours, because the plants are sold out in the first two. Hope your sale was a sellout.
