I look out my window (on this last day of February) and see signs of an Early Spring here in my GEORGIA GARDENS. We had an early Spring last year and every thing opened early. It looks as though we may have a repeat this year.
Forsythia is giving me a golden glow.
The Wild Plum trees are giving me a pink glow.
And the Bridal Wreath looks as if it has snow upon its branches.
I adore the tiny white blooms of Bridal Wreath Spirea.
After much needed rain, we once again have a creek in our front woods! I have missed the creek as it calls in the wildlife when running. Yep, me thinks we are in for yet ANOTHER EARLY SPRING, In the Garden...

I think you are right. Of course we really didn't even have a winter-though they are calling for snow this weekend. I don't think I've seen your creek running. It is most pretty and I can see the wildlife coming in. Enjoy it! I can't wait for it to arrive here.
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for spring too! I miss my beautiful bloomers and want them back in my life! The creek is so nice and I wish it were a real running creek but if I cannot have a creek, a run off rain creek will do...
DeleteBeautiful pictures Skeeter. Love the creek. I'm looking forward to some warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteChristy, we are lucky as we have nice warm days during winter here but I am ready for my flowers to give me a show. I miss them so much.... With all the rain I have a creek but also getting weeds. Sigh...
DeleteIt looks lovely...and the creek is a wonderful sight to behold.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gail! I love a creek and wish we had a running creek year round but not so lucky. I know the deer and birds are enjoying the water without having to drop by my birdbaths for a sip...
DeleteI can't wait for spring here!! There is still lots of snow on the ground. Love your little stream!!
ReplyDeleteSnow, no thank you. I am ready for spring now. I have had enough of that cold stuff although, not so cold in the Deep South but still cold enough to make my blooms go to sleep for a few months. I can hardly wait for those window open days and nights. Then again, that nasty Pollen will arrive soon too. Sigh...
DeleteEarly spring? We already have blueberry blossoms and even some tiny berries forming. I see you have been enjoying some of that Gulf moisture we are being blessed with lately. I am glad that the groundwater is being recharged. Still, it's nice to see the sun shining again today. We had buckets and buckets of rain a few days ago.
ReplyDeleteSpring in your neck of the woods seems really something likely. Here, it is a long way off. More snow in the forecast!
ReplyDeleteNo early spring here but subtle signs even with snow on the ground...lovely spring blooms.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your spring, Skeeter, as you must remember how late spring comes in Maine. Gorgeous images of blossoms!
ReplyDeleteJust went through the rain session. Peaches blooming. Cold got the Forsythia. Got the tops of potatoes too so will have to dig them. GGS planted them way back in Jan. Love your little stream even tho it's temp.
ReplyDeleteI love your little creek. We have one in our backyard. It's pretty wide and deep in places but the banks have eroded over the years and the water's not visible from the house. Glad to see things are blooming there, but I'm concerned to see the signs of another 'too-early' spring.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the groundhog was right! I, too, think we're going to have an early spring - if only those cold fronts would quit coming! haha Your forsythia is stunning! I need to add one of those to my garden - and I love how you have yours situated. It truly makes a striking statement.
ReplyDeleteGreat spring images... yes your forsythia is far a head of mine. Mine are so small...just a few twigs. My spirea is still weeks away from blooming .....hard to imagine we are so different in bloom times.
