Are you ready for your annual virtual visit to the Nashville Lawn and Garden Show? If so, come along with me!
The show did not disappoint. I fell in love with this hanging bottle tree. The bottles themselves are beautiful and the 'tree' was quite substantial and held 20 bottles. I'll have to find a sturdy spot to hang mine.
A central part of the show is the gardens. This particular designer group actually had their fully drawn and colored design on display. Very neat.
Whimsy abounds. The cute little scarecrow man was sitting with a friend around a faux fire. The fire was actually orange LED lights.
This fire was for real and really rocked!
I will close with a very nice display that had a large mural behind it. The display showcased a colorful beehive. Beehives seem to be all the rage this year in gardening.
Hope you enjoyed your virtual tour. There were vendors galore, some really good speakers, and lots of things to see and do. Like always, I had a ball at the show....
in the garden....
Thanks for the tour of the show. Did you really buy one of those hanging bottle trees? If so, did you get the bottles with it? That is really a wonderful addition to any garden.
ReplyDeleteHappy gardening ~ FlowerLady
Good morning FlowerLady! Yes, I really did buy this heavy duty bottle tree. It was reasonably priced at $35 so doable. No bottles came with it though I asked. Those are some pretty colored bottles for sure.
DeleteVery nice. I do love our local Home and Garden shows. Things to consider and always a good hint of spring arrival....:)
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly!
DeleteHi Tina....the show was really fun this year!! So many great vendors and so many great things to see and buy!! And boy, did I do a lot of buying!!! Can't wait to see your new bottle tree!
ReplyDeleteIt was tons of fun for sure Christy!
DeleteShucks, I missed it by one week, sigh.... Some day I will make it to this show. Our local and show in Atlanta are not worth my time. They are more about home then garden, kind of like HGTV... Great buy on that bottle tree! I have spotted some similar but way higher in price therefore, no bottle tree for me. Love those fire pits...
ReplyDeleteYou really must come up here next year! It is almost always the first weekend in March. One week...darn! You and the Saint would have so much fun.
DeleteSo many great ideas. I'm not getting into bee hives but I know a man has some just east of us. Hopefully, his bees like my flowers. Not surprised you picked out the hanging bottle tree. Nice colors.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason I go to our local show is networking and catching up with industry people. The landscapers really do outlandish designs most years. This year, I bet I see few Impatiens, where other years, they are bedded out.
ReplyDeleteCute scarecrow man! And the bee hive is cute. Have fun gathering 20 bottles for your new bottle tree!
ReplyDeleteI guess the closest show to us would be in Mobile, AL, but as Skeeter said, it's more about home than garden. You are lucky to be close to Nashville. I do love the country life, but the city does have its own attraction. Lots of stuff to see and do. That bottle tree is lovely. If you hang it from a swivel hook, I bet the light would really dance around it.
ReplyDeleteThat big rock fire pit was pretty cool. I used to think I wanted to have bees, but after reading all of Randy's posts on his hives, it may be more work and worry than what I want right now. Are you going to have bees on your new property?
ReplyDeleteMaybe at some point but not anytime soon on the bees Janet. Too much work! I agree!@ I don't need anymore of that what with all the animals we have now I seem like I never stop.
DeleteThe bottle tree reminds me of your creations. Will you join the show next year?
ReplyDeleteLove the beehive garden...
