Busy Butterfly

By SKEETER

My Georgia Gardens are weed free (for the time being) and the house should be completely dust free by the time family arrives this afternoon! I have been moving like this BUSY BUTTERFLY, In the Garden...

  1. Wow! Come do my house and gardens:) Have fun with your company. I've never seen a butterfly with that yellow stripe on its back. Very busy indeed!

  2. I love watching the butterflies. I've seen a few of these black swallowtails here, but otherwise we haven't had many butterflies this year. I'm hoping they are just late arrivals.

A weed-free garden and a dust-free house?? I don't think I've ever been able to say that at the same time:)

  4. Tina, I just looked in the butterfly book and think this butterfly might be the Anise Swallowtail.

I am sure that Randy will ID it for us as he is a great butterfly and bug ID'er...

  8. Skeeter,
Weed free, huh you mean the weeds are free? Doubt you got all of them, roots too?

Palamedes Swallowtail, we are just out of their range. Once I saw 3 of them flying like puppets on a string over top of each other.

I knew you would come through for me in the ID'ing Randy! Thanks and he was a really large butterfly and after seeing the size of the Anise, I knew it was not this guy....

It is nice having laughing kids in the house again! Pool time and S'Mores, it gets no better then that....
