The Children: All Together & Mother's Day

From In the Garden

This blog is as much a family album as a garden album so I am sharing my wonderful children on here, we'll be back to gardening after this brief interlude but today is a perfect day since it is right after Mother's Day.

I am the proud mother of four beautiful children who live their lives in various spots around the country. It just so happened one of the twin daughters (Liz) was recently married; which brought all four children together in one spot. A great opportunity for a photo op!

Let me present the children from left to right: Jimmy (the Jimster)-almost 16, Liz, (the smiling bride)-almost 29, Christy (a bridesmaid and older twin sister to Liz by one minute)-almost 29, and Brian (the oldest son)-25.

I hope all mothers had a great Mother's Day....

  5. Tina,

Makes me wonder how in the world could you be 29 and your twins 29. Are you sure these are not your sisters! Nice photo!

  7. Flowerlady, It was a lovely time and the bride was most happy!

    Carla, Ditto to you too!

Randy, Ha! We joke all the time with the twins that we not only look alike but are similar in our personalities (with one of the twins at least). Sisters-that might be a stretch but one I'm willing to try:)

  17. What a beautiful picture of your children - great family. It's hard to get them all together once they've grown and live their own lives isn't it Tina? Wait 'til they're one year from '40' makes me feel soooooo old but true time flies.

  18. What a great photo! AND I love Christy's Tattoo, I see it looks as if it continues to her back. I know some people don't like them, but I think sometimes they are great works of art. It looks very elegant on her, she carries it well.-- Randy

  19. Handsome children. You have reason to be proud.

I attended the wedding once where the bride was an identical twin. It was fascinating to watch the bridesmaid twin watch her sister so intently during the ceremony.

  20. Sweetbay, Ditto to you too~!

Racquel, Yup, I was blessed with twins. They grow up so fast.

    Marnie, Thank you.

Lola, Thanks and so glad your day was wonderful.

Dave, The wedding was wonderful. Hey, the bananas decided to come back-evil things-so I dug out a WHOLE one that is perfect for you. It is standing by.

    Rebecca, You are so right!

Rose, I am and ditto to you!

Rosey, Oh yes indeed, braces for twins are not any cheaper:) on the smiles. Thanks and I hope your day was great.

Catherine, It was so wonderful having them all together for sure.

Linda, I don't even want to think about it-boy where does the time go??

Randy, Thanks! I'm sure Christine will appreciate the compliment. Both twins and Brian have tattoos. The Jimster can't yet as mom and dad say no. But when he is of age I'm sure he'll be getting one. It seems to be rite of passage for young folks these days.

  21. NellJean, These two are very close and it was interesting watching the guests trying to keep them apart:) They get mixed up all the time and I would always get a kick out of it.

  24. I am sure this photograph will always be treasured. It is so hard to get adult children still long enough to photograph them all together.

  26. Hi Tina -great picture of your children -I hope you had a super Mother's Day! Kind of chilly today -we have the garden in so this rain is okay with us -just not too much. Already having a problem with birds eating some of the plants:( They didn't bother them last year but this year they are chowing down. Have a great night! Ciao
