Blogging never ceases to amaze me! I was at Randy and Megs Blog, (Click HERE to view) on Tuesday. Randy posted about a Green spider. I made mention in the comments how I have never seen a Green Spider in person. Well, today I spotted one in my Georgia Gardens! Thanks to Randy, I know this is a GREEN LYNX SPIDER, In the Garden...

Very cool! Sometimes it seems like that-you hear about something you've never seen and then it is everywhere. Love it when that happens. Not sure if I've seen one of these but will be looking.
ReplyDeleteSkeeter,
ReplyDeletePretty cool you found one so quick. These guys will stick on flowers and grab anything that lands on them. I have a photo of a male and female together here somewhere.
What a pretty spider. It looks like it is apart of the flower too.
ReplyDeleteTina, I know it seems to happen like that some times. I think it is so neat how people in different states can experience the same things. Be on the lookout....
ReplyDeleteRandy, I know I could not believe it when I spotted this one! One day later! I told my hubby to check out the spider as he had never seen a green one either. It is a very beautiful spider...
MKGirl, Yes, I found this spider by trying to smell the flower. When I got close to the flower with my nose, the flower moved. I backed off and then saw the spider. Thank goodness he did not get my nose. That would have hurt...
That is so cool and he sure is a pretty one.
ReplyDeleteLove it when this happens! Cool looking spider, glad you saw it before you too a big sniff of the flower.
ReplyDeleteI hardly ever say this about spiders... beautiful!! I wonder what color it will be when it's ripe? ;)
ReplyDeleteHi all.
ReplyDeleteWow, it sure is a pretty one. Glad you didn't get "sniffed".
Got bit myself from being in garden, now skin is coming off. Aaarrrrrg
That spider is GORGEOUS!!! She fits into the surrounding purple colors so well! And thanks to you showing the yellow garden spider a while back, I was able to ID one for someone else. I find spiders fascinating! :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, I just clicked the enlarge the photo and she has hairs or "spikes" on her legs. SO cool!
ReplyDeleteRoxanne, this is a very beautiful spider, one i still haven't seen here. It looks like an ornamental spider, if there is such a thing. I dont mind having many of them. I wonder if this is helpful in eating other unwanted garden insects.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is this! I've learned more about wildlife and insects from reading blogs than anywhere else, I think.
ReplyDeletethis is an amazing coincidence - today I saw a green spider for the first time - before I read this post!
