Hello all! I thought I'd share some of my garden with you all today. This is the old garden called Tiger Gardens. I have moved a LOT of plants from it already but there is still so much to see and grow that you can barely tell I've moved any plants. One thing is for sure tho, the weeds love to move in to the vacant spots. Despite this and neglect, it astounds me how plants just keep trucking along with no help from the gardener whatsoever. Don't you sometimes feel like your plants will not bloom if you don't tend to them? Well, this post is proof positive that it is not so-the flowers still bloom despite us. This is an amazing thing about plants and life in general!
Thank you Angie for such beautiful irises!
The crossvine arbor used to be a crossvine/gelsemium arbor, but obviously crossvine won that battle and yellow gelsemium faded away. The crossvine has exploded with orange blooms. This cultivar is 'Tangerine Beauty'.

You have some beautiful blooms happening there at Tiger Gardens. I just LOVE that corssvine covered arbor. WOW!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your lovely gardens ~ FlowerLady
In spite of the difference in our locations, some of your "beds" look very much like a few of mine--just a bit ahead. No iris here, for instance...And there will be no crossvine here.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping our beds will survive the lack of tending that is sure to be its fate this season. Meanwhile, I'll be savoring the efforts of others while my hip and "his" heart mend :)
Even with so much already moved to the Farm, Tiger Gardens is still shining girl! Other then a few thinned spots, one would never know you have moved what you have out of the garden. Wow, you have a lot of plants yet to be moved. You have some awesome iris and that crossvine, well, I just need to get me one of those!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful irises! A well planned garden should be able to do a lot on its own. I can totally see the weeds happy to finally have room to come in. Thanks for sharing the "old garden."
ReplyDeleteRegardless of what is "gone" it is still pretty. Love the iris. Oldest son dug some walking iris from his front garden & I set them out a couple weeks ago. They are blooming. Yaaaaaay
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful irises! I'm amazed with all the plants you have moved that Tiger Gardens still looks as full and beautiful as ever.
ReplyDeleteI love the irises best of all. I'm glad to see that your moved garden is thriving.
