Happy New Years!

Happy New Year to all of you from all of us here at In the Garden. May the sun shine brightly upon you all.
Make it the best ever!

Lest I forget, your "To Do List" is to relax in the garden this month. Do crafts and complete chores from last month if you haven't already. General housekeeping such as keeping up on winter weeds, finishing the mulch, and preparing for seed starting in February would all be good things to do as well.

Speaking of seeds, Monica at Garden Faerie's Musings is hosting a seed swap. If interested do visit her post for details.

  6. Hi Tina, happy new year to you and yours also! Thanks for giving us an easy to do list, but that won't work here. January is the month of much activity. The seeds of some things are already started so they will be large enough when it gets too hot in the greenhouse, it happens so fast as the sun rises higher in the sky. There is tons of clean up to do, the grasses need cut since new growth is already showing, and mulching and moving stuff and sticking cuttings in the ground now, the best time to have success.....got to get out there now, waiting for the temp to get above freezing! :-)

  8. Happy New Year my friend! I like your to do list, but for a minute I thought you meant more housekeeping in the house! Which has suffered greatly with blogging! Whew! I thought you had had a good look at my dusty furniture! I hope to see more of you this year and plan to attend as many of the PPS meetings as a way to start. Love the photo...great blogging minds think alike ( my post)! Happy New Year to Dawn, Lola and you, too, Skeeter!

  9. Happy New Year to you Tina,
I enjoy your cloud / sky photograph.
It is a bit chilly here to relax in the garden - but at least the sun is shinning - always a good way to start a new year.

We went out on New Years for the first time since ringing in the year 2000.... We had a good time and were in bed at 3:00 this morning! Late night indeed....

Had our Ham, Black-eyed Peas and cornbread dressing for a Good Luck year beginning! And watched Georgia beat Michigan! Go Dawgs!

    Time for a nap now….

  29. Happy New Year to all of you too!
I love planning the new years gardens and dreaming of all the things I want in it. I make "vision boards". I cut out all the things I want in my garden and put them on a poster board, on the wall in my office. During these cold rainy days, I can already see spring!
