  7. Morning! I saw a dead Luna a few days ago. They are so large and really neat. Okay, are those really the eyes of the moth or are you just joking???

Pretty moth. It does look like eyes looking at you. I've seen them before.

  11. I love Luna moths. I've always thought they were so pretty. One managed to get in my bed when I was small. I crawled under the sheets and that thing wiggled under the bend of my leg. Boy I came out of the bed in a hurry.

  13. Troubles here with my computer:(

Sapphire, This is a queen among moths and so welcomed here. I rarely see them alive but this one was and quite happy to hold onto the daylily foliage while I snapped away. An accommodating one for sure.

Rose, I was so lucky to capture a live one and up close. I couldn't believe all the hair.

Darla, It is a pretty thing-my favorite color too.

Nancy, They are lovely in the garden and so much detail up close.

    GWGT, My thoughts exactly!

    Jan, Thanks.

Skeeter, Just joking. Those spots are there to fool predators I believe, but no, not real eyes.

MKG, Those awful cabbage loopers. I'm waiting for them to show up here any day now.

    Gail, Thanks.

Mom, This one was alive-a special treat and actually let me snap away without flying away. I never saw it the next morning though. Maybe something ate it. Probably the evil dog. She stole potatoes from my basket yesterday. The travelers are in NC right now. Doing fine.

Lola, Aren't they the coolest moths? I love their coloring.

Randy, I have no doubt! I'm surprised you still like them after that experience.

    Racquel, Thanks.

  20. Hi Tina, i wish we have that moth also here, but there's none. It is so beautiful, more than our Atlas moth. I wonder why they name big moths like that, Atlas and Luna! Maybe Randy knows, hi Randy, any reply to this?
