My plans of continuing to post on our Christmas Trip to Washington D.C. has been put on hold for now. The temps have climbed here in my Georgia Gardens and it is way too nice to be inside sitting at the computer. We have really had a mild winter thus far and certain things such as this Wandering Jew Plant have yet to die!
We are wearing shorts and tee shirts in the month of January! This weather shall change with a nasty cold front expected by Thursday. I must get myself into the garden for some unexpected play time. And just look, the Daffodils are showing sings of an early bloom! Guess you could say, we are having a little SPRING BREAK, In the Garden...

Chciałabym mieć taką zimę i oglądać żonkile w styczniu w ogrodzie. Pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteI would like to have this winter and watch the daffodils in the garden in January. Yours.
We are having a very mild winter thus far but it is not over yet....
DeleteSpring in January. Hard to believe but then I remember you are a few miles south of us here on the Minnesota tundra....;)
ReplyDeleteWe normally have a much milder winter then you Troutbirder but not this mild. It is crazy but I am enjoying every minute of it. Just hope a freeze does not harm the things already popping up on us...
DeleteYes, the weather has been weird here too. The cold front has stalled just west of us, and it has been warm, cloudy, and humid for the past few days. I'd rather have sunshine while I work outside, but at least the temps are more "bearable" as they are now. That's a cute one you have there.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping the front would stall but we do need the rain. I am out in the garden getting a jump on the many weeds that are already popping up...
DeleteSkeeter....you are so lucky!! We've had so much rain it's just a mess in my garden. Yesterday we had sleet and ice. I am sooo ready for spring!!
ReplyDeleteYikes, you can keep your ice but please send some of that rain our way. We are in such a need for a lot of rain....
DeleteWe almost had shorts weather this past week too. It was 64° on Sunday, but we are back in the twenties today. Must be nice to have the more mild climate.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it indeed! It's a wonderful time of the year!
ReplyDeleteIt was another beautiful day in the Garden! I pulled weeds, cut the banana tree, trimmed and mowed the winter rye grass. The grass looks awesome and I must say it brightens up my day. One more day of warm temps then we should have your front...
DeleteI love spring beaks in the garden!!
ReplyDeleteCherry, this little suprise spring breaks are the best! I normally get the winter Blues but not with little breaks such as this as they keep me happy...
DeleteOh my goodness, shorts and T-shirts?! I'm sitting here at the computer with a robe over my clothes because even the house feels chilly:) Enjoy your garden time and spring break for as long as it lasts. Can't wait to see some daffodils bursting through the soil here, too, but I think I'm going to have to wait awhile.
ReplyDeleteThose daffy's will be popping up before ya know it Rose! You will be ever so busy the next month so time shall fly...
DeleteWeather sure turned last night! I still have some green on my African Daisy....go figure! Hope we get enough of a cold snap to kill off the ticks and other pests.
ReplyDeleteWe had low 60s this weekend that melted 4 feet of snow...headed for highs in the teens now...winter is back!
