This is more of a test for Blotanical to see if we show up there again.
But also an opportunity to show off the seedpod of my 'winter roses' from last year. It looks a bit like an apple and are hard to find on the shrub.
And we are updating the blog. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Hope you like the new look for this next year.
Sorry to anyone not expecting the two posts today, but this is really just a test.
in the garden....
Hi, Tina--I like your new header. I love your camellia--I can't wait for mine to start. I'll check Blotanical and see what's there.
ReplyDeleteLove the new look Tina. Your header is beautiful too. You are showing on Blotanical!
ReplyDeleteHi Cosmo, You have camelias?! Yeah! I LOVE LOVE these shrubs. I'll be looking forward to seeing yours. Let me know Blotanical as I can't find anything on my newest post (this one).
ReplyDeleteHi Racquel, Thanks on the new look. A change was needed. Skeeter said the ole plain white just wasn't me. She wanted hot pink and orange but I had to put my foot down. She took the butterfly picture and I do like it. Can you see my newest post on Blotanical? I can't understand that thing. I did the feedburner thing as that was what was recommended, then the problems, now back to default I guess. Still it doesn't show it on my plot. Many blogspot blogs DO show though so I wonder what gives?
Hi Tina ~ I'm catching up after being away a week and yes you do show in Blotanical! I switched my feed as well, I hope I didn't screw anything up though. I have yet to check out my Reader, I'm going to be way behind - lol! I'm catching up on all your posts - I'll comment on those separately though. ~ Cindy
ReplyDeleteThe header is breathtaking.
ReplyDeletelove love love the new header!
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late to the party as Gail would say, a little under the weather today, a lot under the weather yesterday, but thrilled that yes you are on blotanical and have picks too! Hip hip Hooray!
ReplyDeleteTina the leaves on my Camellia are looking brownish. What do you think is wrong? Mine has been blooming in Jan.
ReplyDeleteCindy, Missed you and was wondering where you were. Hope you had a super great time! And welcome back!
ReplyDeleteDawn and Marmee, Thanks!
Frances, Thanks! I couldn't find any of the new posts so I did not know. Stuart helped out and finally it is fixed and I haven't heard of any feed problems. Do start feeling better soon!
Lola, I googled brown leaves on camelias and best I can find is it seems like a moisture problem. At first I thought not enough, then I remembered all the rain you have had so it might be TOO much moisture. Check the soil around the rootball and see if it smells bad and if you can see and root rot. Failing that, check for insects, failing that (and probably the most important thing), do a soil test for the area. My first thought is a ph problem with the camelias but I am not expert and have not had any issues with mine so I don't know for sure. But trying all of these will get you an answer I am sure. Let me know what you find out.
Love your site and the gorgeous botanicals!
ReplyDeleteIs this Debbie my garden club friend?? The one who won that beautiful lespedeza? I must say I am happy to see you on here! When you can't work in the gorgeous garden of yours, you can always stop into mine:) ttyl
ReplyDeleteAnd Debbie, You would love blogging because it combines your talent for writing AND the love for the garden too. You must consider it while you are visiting blogs online. Okay? PPS this month? Geri should go, and maybe Dianne too. I think I have her convinced. Don't you think she would like it?
ReplyDeleteYippee! I'm glad to see In the Garden back on Picks again Tina!
ReplyDeleteI love the new look, and the header.
Horray! We're all finding our way back onto Blotanical again. Welcome back. Those seed pods are lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe're getting ready for family movie night.
Garden Girl, Thanks, it was time for a new look as it has been one year now. And glad you are back on Blotanical too.
ReplyDeleteCinj, Have a great family movie night. Saturday is such a cool day to do it. Unfortunately I am addicted to SciFi on Saturdays but for our teen I guess that is okay. If you have never seen "The Bear" though, it is a GREAT family movie I think you all will love.
