Blog Issues

By SKEETER;

I am popping in here today to let you know I am having issues with some of your blogs. I don't know why but for some reason, I am not able to post comments on your blogs. I want you to know that I have tried to leave many comments with little luck.

Some of these blog's are: Karin/Southern Meadows, Girl Rural, Patricia Tryon, Casa Mariposa, Wendy, Stacy-Knee Deep in Bloomers, Holleygarden, etc... I don't know if it is the way in which you have your blog set up or what. I am not a Blog administrator as Tina is the head of this blog. Maybe this is the issue...???...

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I am reading all blogs of people that comment on my posting days along with many other blogs. I am just not able to chat with you on your blogs...

Is anyone else having such issues???

  1. I often have issues with posting comments on various sites. Sometimes I end up having to post anonymous or through other options... and other times I just give up.

I hate it because it is so nice to receive feedback. I hope that you find a solution.

  2. Sometimes and I just try a couple of times, sometimes it works sometimes not. I on the other hand cannot get anyones followers buttons to show up...so I can follow some new found blogs. So you think Tina being the administrator is the problem, LOL.

  3. Lately I have to hit "comment" twice as the first time won't allow me to comment. Even now that just happened. I've checked my settings and all is go, but I have heard blogger is having a few issues! Thanks for trying. I enjoy your blog.

  4. So far so good Skeeter. I haven't had problems. Maybe that's because I don't have a blog. OR my lack of knowledge. lol
Hope all gets straightened out. Not comfortable to run into problems.

  5. Skeeter, I read on another blog they too were having issues with posting comments-when the comments are embedded in the blog. Not sure if this applies to the blogs you are having troubles with. But! You are Darla are most funny on the administrator part. You have equal administrator privileges and have for many years-I can only do what you can do but you and I agreed I'd handle all the admin issues with the blog look and so on so you may not know. When you delete spam comments-that is administrator duties and we both do it equally-good thing with all the spam that comes too. I added you a looong time ago so it is truly not me you funny girls. Thanks for my laugh today. Just got home from work and had a great day so the laugh tops it off!

  6. I have been having the same issues, but only on certain blogs. It is almost like I am not even logged in when I try to comment. Sometimes I can comment using name/URL, but sometimes I can't. Wonder what's up with that? Carla

  7. Okay, so some are having problems and some not. It seems to be mostly new blogs that I have never commented on before. What ever it is, I hope they get it corrected as I hate wasting my time writing a long comment then it will not publish. Ha,, now I write a "Test" message first. Mama didn’t raise no fool.....LOL....

Tina, I am so glad to have given you a laugh today girl. Anything I can do to make your day brighter... Ha ha... I knew I had certain privileges but I do not mess with anything. I thought that since you signed up for the blog in the beginning, that maybe you are head of it. Also, maybe new blogs are automatically set to allow comments from Blogger signer-uppers only. Maybe a new security feature. I never touch any buttons other then posting as I fear of exploding the entire blog-world up with my fingers... LOL. Okay, you got a second laugh from me today…...

    Everyone have a great weekend!

  8. Another tip for you... before submitting a comment... once you're done composing it...copy it so if it doesn't deliver you can simply paste the text in and try again. You know our words are never nearly as clever the second time around! Or is it just me? :)

Thanks for the comments on my blog regarding the snakes, tomatoes and my mom! I hope you'll comment more often!

    Happy blogging!

  9. Sometimes it takes me two or three times for the blog comment section on a few blogs to recognize that I have a registered username. I get the problem almost every time on A Corner Garden, Randy Emmitt's and another that I can't think of right now.

  10. Hello, nice to meet your blog, lovely photos. I've had intermittent problems with comments on blogger, and finally worked around them by changing web browsers. Internet explorer is not my friend. I've had no problems since I changed to google chrome and/or firefox. Hope this helps.

  11. I'm not having "issues" leaving comments. Occasionally someone tells me they have trouble with mine (and others). I have no idea what to do to help!

  12. I haven't noticed any problems today but I randomly have trouble with Blogger letting me comment.

  13. Sketter, I have found that with some blogs I must go back to the beginning click on the title for that posting, then scroll down to the comment section and then I can comment. I post a special email address on most of my posting so that if people have problems commenting, they can send me a private email to a special address. Let me know if this works for you. Jack

  14. I have had some weird issues and found things were different on different browsers - like Chrome instead of Firefox. Good luck - the technical glitches are stressful and a drag.

  15. Blogging problems? What's new ?
Mine won't let me do easy editing and on some blogs I'm not a registered user and have to enter URL and name.
Also lately when I go to comment google tells me to sign in when I'm already signed in. I can't comment so I try again another day.

  16. I don't know if this will work for you but the tip in this little forum to uncheck "remember me" and relog into blogger worked when I was having this trouble. It certainly can't hurt to try it. There are some other tips too. Good luck!

  17. Thanks to everyone for your great advice. I have been able to get some comments made by going the anonymous route and signing off as Skeeter.

I get frustrated at times though and just give up. I see I am not the only one with issues and hopefully you will understand I am reading but may not be commenting. Not by choice but by bloggers issues.....

Have a great day everyone and stay cool...

  18. Hey Skeeter, i appreciate it very much when people here post experiences like this, just like when Autumn Belle and leavesnbloom/Rosie posted photo thieves, which i emulate and post my experience also. But your experiences always happen to me to, sometimes i thought it is our server or my signal which affects my efficiency. Also another experience is when a blog doesn't open more than one page saying i am not allowed to get in! I don't know if that is real or that is a hitch in the system. I am very sorry when i wanted so much to return the comments of my commenters and not able to do so. The latest i remember like that is Floridagirl's, which i had been commenting many times in the past. I can't even thank her for her ID of my mystery plant. Now, i also do what Stacy does, to copy the comment, which comes handy when it fails.

  19. Yes, not be able to comment is most frustrating, and I was having serious problems with it. However, I have found that the tip that Gardener on Sherlock St. left has worked for me. Good luck and don't give up.

  20. I am reading your blog. I love that you use a lot of pictures. I just popped into this posting cuz I've had a friend who has a lot of trouble making comments. When I got to the bottom and saw your 'comments rules'. I was howling. And yet, it's pretty sad that so many people have an agenda or an angle. Really bogs things down. Anyway, good luck and again thanks for the beautiful blog.
