The Clock is ticking...

BY SKEETER
I have so much yet to do before I am ready for house guests to arrive in my Georgia Gardens. I have been painting, (example: above sign) cleaning, pulling weeds, mulching, planting, decorating, etc. I am not close to finished but THE CLOCK IS TICKING, In the Garden..

  1. Not much of a blog I know, but I am so darn busy I just do not have time to blog. I shall get to it seriously at some point. Maybe when the heat of summer has gotten to me and the Air Conditioning inside is the only way to survive!

    Everyone have a Wonderful day....

  3. I bet your house, right now, today, looks better than 95% of other people's houses! It is just that OCD thing girl!! I used to be that way and now I have swung too much the other way!

    1. Yep Jean, the OCD thing indeed. I want everything perfect but in my aging days, I just dont have the steam in me. I can still do a lot of work, just not go from sun up to sun down anymore. The back tells me stop. Summer has come too quick this year! We pretty much skipped Spring here in GA...

    1. I do this every time we have house guest Freda. LOL The OCD in me wants everything perfect. And I know when people enter our home, they have a great time even though I notice the imperfections, they dont seem to. Just a Skeeter thing. Everything is falling into place now...

    1. I will Janet, once the guests arrive! I always have a great time entertaining. It is all the hard work I get myself into before they show up that is my problem. I set goals for my gardens, house, etc and can never seem to reach those goals until the last minute. But if I had an extra day, I would still fall behind. LOL...

    1. M-D girl, I will try to get pictures of all the hard work. I have really worked my hiney off getting everything into shape this Spring. Would not have been so bad on me if the heat were not so bad so soon. I think we skipped Spring....

    1. You know I will Tina! Always do. I just put too much on myself wanting everything perfect when I know things go against me. Such as all the places we get pine straw were out of it today! Ha... The Saint was not a happy camper running all over town looking for 15 bales for me. I forgot to get it ahead of time as just before Masters (started today) all the garden centers run out of it.... Oh well, he came through but paid way more then I would have for the stuff. I would have just said, Oh well, we shall get that planter done when they restock at the lower prices....

  9. I'm sure your guests will have a great time, even if all your projects don't get done, Skeeter. I get stressed out when I'm having company, too, but try to relax and enjoy your visit!

    1. I had too much on my plate with this early summer Rose. Yes, I think it is summer and not spring as temps at 90 with humidity is not spring weather to me... LOL, so much to do and I have been going at it for weeks now. I have actually done a lot in a short period of time. It all looks great even with a few project not completed. While they go out and play at the golf course, I have time to work at a slower pace on those projects then enjoy their visit when they return each evening. I shall have a ball once they arrive...
